Brimochek T Eye Drop may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation

Brimochek T Eye Drop is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.To reduce the amount of Brimochek T Eye Drop that reaches the breastmilk, place pressure over the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue.

Driving

Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Brimochek T Eye Drop may cause blurred or abnormal vision. This effect may seem worse at night or in reduced lighting and this may affect the ability to drive.

Kidney

Brimochek T Eye Drop is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Brimochek T Eye Drop may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Uses of Timolol
Timolol is used in the treatment of ocular hypertension and glaucoma.

How to use Timolol
This medicine is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

How Brimochek T Eye Drop works
Timolol is a beta blocker. It works by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye), thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.

Side Effects:

Common Stinging in the eyes, Blurred vision, Burning eyes.

Expert advice for Timolol
Timolol helps lower high pressure in the eye and reduces the risk of vision loss. Never miss a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember as missed doses can cause fluctuations in the eye pressure which may worsen your condition. Notify your doctor if you have lung diseases such as asthma, or heart diseases (slow heart rate, high blood pressure) as Timolol may worsen these conditions. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the drop so that the medicine does not drain away from the eye. When applying multiple eye medications, wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.  You may experience a stinging sensation for 1-2 mins after instilling eye drops. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.

How Brimochek T Eye Drop works
Brimonidine decreases the pressure in the eyeball by decreasing the formation of aqueous humor (clear watery fluid filling the space in front of an eyeball ).

Common Headache, Foreign body sensation in eyes, Blurred vision, Dryness in mouth, Burning sensation in eye, Conjunctival hyperemia , Fatigue, Stinging in the eyes, Drowsiness, Eye itching, Allergic reaction in eye.

Expert advice for Brimonidine
Helps lower high pressure in the eye and reduces the risk of vision loss. For best results, put one drop 2-3 times daily in the affected eye(s). Brimonidine may cause allergic reaction in the form of eyelid swelling, eye discomfort, foreign-object sensation, redness and itching. Notify your doctor if any of these occur. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the drop. This minimizes the risk of side effects. Take care to prevent contact of eye dispenser with eye, eyelid, eyelashes, or finger to avoid infection. Remove contact lenses before using Betagan and allow at least 15 minutes before re-inserting them. When applying multiple eye medications, wait for at least 5-15 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
